Google Begins Rollout of Scheduled Routines for Assistant

After announcing the feature earlier this year, Google has finally begun rolling out the ability to create Routines within the Google Assistant that fire off at a certain time or day. This comes after Routines were released during MWC 2018 as a way to fire off multiple actions with a single user command.

To see if you have the ability to create a schedule Routine, navigate to the Routines section of the Assistant’s settings. From there, create a new Routine and check to see if you have the “Set a time and day (optional)” option from the list. Your screen should look similar to the one above. This way, you’ll be able to do things like turn on and off certain lights, set the thermostat, and get the weather at certain times during the day automatically.

The feature is rolling out to both Android and iOS users now.
