Google has begun rolling out an update to the Assistant that lets you ask it to place a video call via the mobile app Duo. So long as you’ve signed up for the service, you can say, “Hey Google, call Mom on Duo” and have the virtual robot dial her up for you. Duo will then open on your phone where you’ll be able to talk to the person on the other end.
According to users who have already received the feature on their own device, it’s currently working on both Android and iOS, shockingly enough. To see if the feature’s live for you, just ask the Assistant to place a Duo call to one of your contacts.
