OnePlus is rolling out an update today that lets users take portrait mode selfies with the OnePlus 6’s front camera. The device will use software to add an artificial blur to the background of your selfies similar to other smartphones like the iPhone X, LG G7, and Pixel 2. There’s also now a Light Bokeh mode for the rear cameras.
In addition, the new OxygenOS 5.1.6 update includes improvements to call clarity, support for the battery percentage in the status bar, scheduled Do Not Disturb times, and optimizations for power consumption and system stability.
To install the update, head over to the System updates section of your OnePlus 6’s settings app. There, you should find the new software ready to download and install. Be sure to jump on the Wi-Fi before downloading so your data doesn’t get eaten up. Also, make sure you have an ample amount of battery power so your phone doesn’t die during the installation.
