Recently, Lenovo began teasing its upcoming smartphone, the Z5, as having a true edge-to-edge display with no notch or chin. The phone looked totally awesome leading up to its unveiling, but today, it was revealed Lenovo basically deceived all of us by including both a notch and chin on the Z5.
We were so close.
Still, the Z5 looks to be a pretty good mid-range smartphone. It comes with a large 19:9 6.2-inch Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 636 processor, 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. There are dual cameras on the back, Android 8.1 Oreo with Lenovo’s ZUI on top, and a 3300mAh battery as well.
Lenovo’s only charging 1,299 yuan (around $200) for the Z5 and up to 1,799 yuan (around $280) for added storage. While you won’t really have to dig deep into your wallet to buy one, it’s still a shame you won’t get it with an all-screen front.
