Instagram is beginning to roll out a new feature that lets you share traditional posts in your feed to your Story. To do so, you tap the paper airplane icon underneath the image and choose to share it as a sticker in your Story. The sticker will include the post itself alongside a link back to the original post itself and the uploader’s username. You’ll be able to add a custom background, resize the post, and reposition it to wherever you see fit.
Instagram says posts you want to share to your Story will need to be from a public profile. If your profile is public but you don’t want people meddling with your pictures, you can restrict users from sharing your posts in their Story from your account’s settings.
The new feature is beginning to roll out to Android users today, while iOS users can expect it in the coming days.
