Motorola’s New Moto Mods Can Measure Your Body Stats and Offer a Full-Sized Keyboard

Today at CES 2018, Motorola announced two new Moto Mods that will become available later this year. The first new Mod is called the Lenovo Vital Moto Mod that can literally give you information about your body. It measures your own “five key vital signs,” including heart rate, respiratory rate, Pulse Ox, core body temperature, and accurate systolic and diastolic blood pressure. You’ll only need your finger to make it work, too.

The second Mod in question is a keyboard. We saw this last year when Livermorium, the winner of the Moto Mod developer contest, debuted the project, and now it’s an actual working Mod. It features a full QWERTY physical keyboard layout and will prop your phone up to a 60-degree angle when you slide it out. It’s even backlit for low-light situations.

The Vital Mod should be released this April for $395, while the Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod will cost $99 and launch later this winter.
