Moto X4 with Android One Now Getting Upgrade to Oreo

Moto’s X4 wasn’t reviewed very fairly on our behalf, but the Android One variant of the device did a bit better at other outlets. This is mainly because the software is different and is faster, more secure, and receives far faster updates. That lattermost point is no exception to today’s news as Android 8.0 Oreo is now rolling out to the device.

While the standard X4 remains stuck on Nougat, Android One users on Project Fi can now enjoy the X4 with Android Oreo with features like picture-in-picture, better battery life, more security, new emoji, improved notifications, and better fluidity. To check and see if you’ve received the update, head to Settings > System Updates and check for updates.

In other news, the Moto Z2 Force on Verizon is also receiving an upgrade to Android Oreo today. You can learn more here.
