Up until now, the LG V30 has largely been available through retailers locked to a specific carrier. This changed last week when B&H Photo began selling the device here in the United States unlocked for $820. Now, Best Buy is jumping on the same bandwagon and is selling the phone unlocked for $799.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the V30 is beginning to pick up steam from retailers. What with the device launching nearly two months ago, you’d think an unlocked variant for the US would eventually hit. Now, it appears that time has come. Peculiarly, LG has yet to sell the device in this unlocked form in the States.
In a nutshell, we love the LG V30 so much it’s become our favorite phone of 2017. The device packs a 6-inch bezel-less Quad HD+ display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, dual rear cameras, Android Nougat with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo, a 3300mAh battery, a headphone jack, a USB-C port with quick charging, wireless charging, and a gorgeous glass design. It’s an overall solid package and is definitely worth picking up if you’re not up for spending more than $800 on your next smartphone.
