The Honor V10 Comes with a Bezel-Less Screen and a Knock-Off of Animoji

Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, has announced its latest flagship smartphone, the V10. It’s the latest smartphone in 2017 to come with little-to-no bezels and has an 18:9 screen to accompany. Its resolution sits a 2160×1080 which is slightly greater than standard 1080p and is the same resolution as what’s found on the OnePlus 5T.

Other than the screen, there isn’t a whole lot to note. You’re getting a Kirin 970 processor, 4 or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and dual rear cameras that do the whole monochrome photography thing. There is a pretty massive 3750mAh battery in it, however, and it comes powered by Android Oreo with EMUI on top. There’s also a headphone jack. Take that every other flagship from 2017.

One feature I’d really like to point out is Honor’s knock-off of Animoji, the facial tracking feature found on Apple’s iPhone X. Honor says their version of it is better and can even track your tongue, but only real-world use will determine this. Either way, I can’t wait to see what other Chinese companies do to compete with Apple’s feature.

The Honor V10 goes on sale next month in China in Black, Gold, Aurora Blue, and Red. It’ll start at 2699 yuan, or around $400.
