HTC has announced it’s now rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to unlocked variants of its U11 flagship smartphone. The device had originally shipped with Nougat just a matter of months ago and will now come with the latest version of Android for new buyers. To check and see if you’ve received the update yet, head to Settings > About > Software updates on your phone.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. The Oreo OS update will be available for download on the HTC u11 unlocked version starting on Monday! Enjoy!

Right now, it remains unclear what’s new inside the Oreo update for the U11, but we do know picture-in-picture mode, faster boot times, autofill for passwords, better security, better battery life, and new emojis are on board as standard.
If you’re jealous of U11 owners right now because they’re getting Oreo, don’t be: Galaxy S8, Moto Z2, and LG V30 owners can also expect the update in the near future.
