Google today announced it’s redesigning the Home app for iOS and Android which gives users better control over content playback. In terms of the redesign, the navigation keys within the app have moved to the bottom of your screen where they’re much more easily accessible, while slight tweaks here and there can be found throughout.
As for new features, the Google Home app now presents curated content from a user’s various streaming services connected to his/her Google account to begin things like TV shows and movies quicker. Google also improved the search function within the app to identify actors, artists, genres, and categories. Additionally, the app can now present users with different movie trailers to highlight what’s on the horizon.
Finally, Google is also giving users more control over how their Assistant-powered speakers sound, such as Google Home. Things like bass and treble are now adjustable which should come in handy for those interested in fine-tuning the quality of their music to their preferences, especially when it comes to the upcoming Google Home Max.
The new app is rolling out to all users now.
