Apple’s iOS 11.1 is Now Available for Download

Apple today released iOS 11.1 for all users of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to enjoy. In the update, the company includes a suite of new emojis, the much-missed 3D Touch multitasking gesture, and bug fixes throughout. There’s also some varying UI tweaks and improvements to further make using your device better.

To install the new update, head over to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 11.1 listing and you’ll be good to go. I recommend jumping on a Wi-Fi network first alongside plugging in your device beforehand as a) you don’t want data overcharges on your bill and b) you don’t want your phone or tablet to die during the installation process.

While the public is just getting this update today, Apple is already working on iOS 11.2 which brings the iPhone 8’s new wallpapers to older devices. We’ll let you know the status of this update as more builds begin to roll in.
