Amazon today announced that its bringing a variety of LG smartphones to its Prime Exclusive program which places ads on existing smartphones and gives Prime subscribers a pretty nice discount. This time around, the first true flagship phone has reached the program byways of the G6 which now only costs $399. It comes loaded with ads of course, but it’s an excellent deal on a phone that, not too long ago, cost nearly $700. For reference, it features a 5.7-inch Quad HD FullVision display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, dual 13MP cameras on the back, and Android Nougat.
The G6 isn’t alone, however. Amazon is also adding an upgraded version of the G6 called the G6+ which features 128GB of storage instead of 32GB and a hi-fi 32-bit quad DAC. This model costs $499.
For the mid-range selection, the LG Q6 which recently debuted is also available. For those unfamiliar, this phone is basically a trimmed down version of the standard G6 which featurs a the Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a single 13MP rear camera, and Android 7.1 Nougat. It runs for $229.99 which is $70 off its normal price.
Finally, as a budget option, the LG X Charge is also available which comes with a large 4,500mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5.5-inch HD LCD display, a 13MP camera, and Android 7.1 Nougat. It costs $149.99 which is $50 less than normal.
As always, all four of these phones are unlocked and work across each major US carrier.
“We’re excited to welcome LG as a new manufacturer to the Prime Exclusive Phones program,” said Adrian Hurditch, Director of Product Management, Amazon. “With the additions of the LG G6, LG G6+, LG Q6 and LG X charge to the portfolio, Prime members now have access to a wider variety of the latest unlocked smartphones, including those with premium hardware and high-end features, all at an incredible value.”
If you buy any of these phones, I’d recommend picking up either the G6 or G6+ since you’ll be getting an even greater value for what you pay. To browse the entire selection of Prime Exclusive phones, click here.
