Google today is releasing a new feature to make paying for goods online easier and quicker. Called Pay with Google and originally debuting in May, the function allows users to use their shipping address and any credit or debit card linked to their Google account to pay for things across the web. Think of it as Apple Pay for the web except by Google. The company demonstrates the feature in the below GIF.
According to Google, there’s currently a limited selection of services taking the payment method including Instacart, Kayak, Yelp Eat24, and Wish. More services are expected to land in the future including Airbnb, Papa Johns, and StubHub. A developer plug-in that doesn’t cost anything to implement is also available for interested app makers.
