The Google Play Store Now Has a ‘Try Now’ Button for Android Instant Apps

Google today added a new button for Android app listings on the Play Store which have an Instant Apps counterpart. Now, users can click/tap the “Try Now” button to test drive an app before they install it.

This all comes after Google debuted Instant Apps last year. The feature works by running key components of an app as a web application accessible via a link. Those links now live in various “Try Now” buttons spread across the Play Store to give users little tases of different applications. Google says (via The Verge) these buttons add more clarity to which particular Instant Apps are available for use. While only a few are currently live, more will surely be activated in the near future.

All current Instant App experiences accessible via the Play Store can be found here.
