Latest OxygenOS Beta Brings Android Oreo to the OnePlus 3 and 3T

OnePlus’ 2016 flagships, the 3 and 3T, are getting an upgrade to Android Oreo. In the latest beta version of the devices’ operating system, OxygenOS, the phones get an upgrade to Android version 8.0 and gain features such as Picture-in-Picture, notification dots, and auto-fill. OnePlus also notes users can now upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus and are granted the September security patch in the process.

Some known issues in the latest OxygenOS Open Betas include the following:

  • Fingerprint unlock may be a bit slow in some situations
  • Shortcut to access Google Photos is unavailable
  • Stability of NFC and Bluetooth need to be improved
  • Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will be optimized continuously
  • Complete device tree will be released after a week

It’s also worth mentioning the stock music app has disappeared from the system but can be reinstalled here.
