Apple Releases iOS 11.0.3 w/ Fixes for iPhone 7 and 6s

Apple today seeded the public with iOS 11.0.3, a free update now rolling out to those with iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. In the release notes for the update, Apple notes this update should resolve issues with audio and haptic feedback on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus alongside touch responsiveness on certain iPhone 6s units which received service repairs without genuine Apple parts. Of course, other bug fixes and security improvements are under-the-hood as well.

To install the new build on your registered device, head over to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 11.0.3 listing and you’ll be good to go. I recommend jumping on a Wi-Fi network first alongside plugging in your device beforehand as a) you don’t want data overcharges on your bill and b) you don’t want your phone or tablet to die during the installation process.

Currently in testing is iOS 11.1 which will bring a new suite of emoji to users and the much-missed 3D Touch multitasking gesture. We’ll let you know when it begins rolling out to all users.
