Lenovo has begun rolling out its promised upgrade to Android 7.1.1 Nougat for users of the Yoga Book originally introduced last year. Up until now, the device has been running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but now users of the device can enjoy a more up-to-date operating system to tackle things like media streaming and productivity.
With the upgrade to Android 7.1.1, you get all the normal Nougat features like split-screen multitasking, enhanced notifications with replies, under-the-hood optimizations, and new emoji. Lenovo also decided to tweak its skin slightly to make it lighter and speedier on the aging hardware it runs on including some pre-installed apps. Finally, the update package also ships with the June security patch.
The update weighs around 1.3GB in size so expect it to take some time while downloading. You may also wanna plug your Yoga Book in while the update installs. We reviewed the Yoga Book earlier this year when it ran Marshmallow and were impressed by what it offered. However, we eventually ruled out the Windows variant of the device is more future-proof and you can find out why here.
So.. do you have any problems for Nougat update like people said with google play store updating problem, digitizer not recognized, or battery draining ?
