BlackBerry’s Upcoming ‘Motion’ Phone Leaks

BlackBerry looks to be gearing up to introduce a new smartphone in the near future. Evan Blass has tweeted a photo of what he claims is the BlackBerry Motion, the device that everyone has been speculating is called the “Krypton.” However, in his tweet, Blass specifically calls out the codename and says Motion is the proper name for the handset.

As for what the device will pack, rumors suggest we’ll be seeing a mid-range processor like a Snapdragon 652 with a 4,000mAh battery and a 1080p screen. From what’s presented in the image above, we can see a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an earpiece, volume buttons, a power key, and what looks to be an action key which BlackBerry is famous for. There’s also a pretty big chin at the bottom with the BlackBerry logo on it alongside a relatively sizeable forehead, so the company is definitely not going for a futuristic bezel-less look here. Also worth mentioning is the lack of a physical QWERTY keyboard which will remain absent from now on.

The BlackBerry Motion has already passed certifications through the FCC so it looks like it’s just a matter of time until we see this device officially. We currently don’t exactly know when to expect the handset, but stay tuned.
