HP today announced its upgrading its lineup of Spectre-branded laptops with fresh specifications for 2017 and tweaked designs. Where the most changes have taken place are in the case of the super-slim Spectre 13 which was rated the thinnest laptop for a while back in 2016. You can now configure the machine with up to a 4K touchscreen, Intel eigth-gen Coffee Lake processors, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. HP also says the battery now lasts up to 11.5 hours and is compatible with HP Fast Charge to get you 50% battery in a half hour.
Additionally, there are two finishes: one is the standard Dark Ash Silver with Copper accents and the other is a new Ceramic White with Pale Gold accents. The laptop starts at $1,299 and can be purchased at HP.com starting on October 29.
The other news surrounds the Spectre x360 where HP has added a fingerprint sensor to coincide with facial recognition, a new pen which is now rechargeable via the laptop’s USB-C 65W charger, and the option for an HP Sure View 1080p display which will safeguard your privacy from others who might peak at your laptop while you work on something discrete. Other than that, there’s eigth-gen Coffee Lake chips, up to a 4K screen, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to a 1TB SSD. A single USB-A port, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the same general design accompanies.
HP’s refreshed Spectre x360 will land on October 29 starting at $1,149. It’ll be available for purchase from HP.com as well.
