Google Home Mini Goes Up for Preorder at Walmart a Bit Too Early

Google’s hardware event, being held tomorrow, is scheduled to be the location where the smaller $49 Google Home Mini is introduced. The device has been rumored to simply be a smaller, cheaper version of the full-sized Home and come with speakers, far-field microphones, and the Google Assistant built in. It’s also been said the device would be compatible with auxiliary-connected speakers. Now, we have confirmation on nearly everything regarding the device as Walmart has put it up for pre-order a bit too early.

In the retailer’s listing, a full description of the Home Mini alongside full-resolution photos are included. There’s even an image of the Home Mini next to the upcoming Pixel 2 XL with its minimal bezels, stereo speakers, and Home app. You can view all the photos of the device and read the product description below.

As for some specifications surrounding the device, Walmart says the Google Home Mini weighs just 0.84 pounds and measures 4.53 x 4.53 x 4.72 inches. According to the listing, the device will become available on October 19th, the same day as the Pixel 2. Pre-orders are currently live for the device, and you can even go as far as the checkout section. We didn’t try entirely preordering one, however, but you can give it a shot here.
