After a beta process over the past few months, Apple today finally released tvOS 11 to all users of the company’s fourth-generation Apple TV. This comes before the new Apple TV 4K launches on Friday which will ship with the upgraded OS onboard. To install the new OS, head over to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software and hit the download button.
tvOS 11 includes minor improvements but will bring the Amazon Prime Video app to the Apple TV alongside scheduled dark and light modes for viewing times. Of course, with incremental updates expected in the very near future, more features will likely be added. For now, things remain on the slim side.
