SanDisk Announces ‘World’s Largest’ microSD Card with 400GB of Storage

Western Digital and SanDisk have announced the “world’s largest” microSD card, with 400GB of storage being available. This comes at a time when phone manufacturers are beginning to support microSD cards of up to 2TB in capacity, but since we don’t have cards that big just yet, at least we now have something bigger than the previous largest card of 256GB.

The 400GB card is capable of transfer speeds of up to 100Mbps and it even meets the At App Performance Class specification. In a nutshell, this means apps loaded on the card will load faster on your phone. You can manage the card through the free SanDisk Memory Zone app from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, the card will cost $249.99 when it goes on sale in the future which isn’t cheap. Of course, with 400GB of extra room for your phone, it may be worth it in the end.
