HTC has sent out a tweet which confirms three of the company’s flagship smartphones will begin receiving Android 8.0 Oreo in Q4 of 2017. The tweet lists the U11, U Ultra, and 10 as receiving Oreo at some point, with the U11 getting the update the soonest. Currently, there’s no word on when other handsets in the company’s lineup will get the new software.

Just this week, Google released Android Oreo to Pixel and Nexus users. Considering it’s so early in the OS’ life, it’s nice to see companies like HTC already confirming they’re working on delivering the update to more customers. Most are probably wondering when their LG- or Samsung-branded smartphone will get Android 8.0, and while we don’t have insight on that yet, we’ll let you know when we do.
To check and see if you got Oreo on your HTC device when it begins rolling out, head over to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now.
