Watch Samsung Unveil the Galaxy Note 8 Here

Samsung will hold a press conference today in New York City to unveil the much-anticipated Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. It’ll be the first successor to the ill-fated Note 7 from last year which, if you don’t remember, exploded. This caused damage to the Galaxy Note brand and steered customers clear from purchasing another Samsung smartphone. The company did well with the Galaxy S8 in terms of redemption, but it’s the Note 8 where the company needs to be stronger than ever.

According to leaks, they will be. We’re looking at a 6-inch Infinity Display, Snapdragon 835, 6GB of RAM, Android Nougat, an S Pen, and dual rear cameras for the Galaxy note 8 which, at least on paper, is the recipe for a hard-core flagship smartphone in 2017. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see what the company does in terms of the battery, but it’s expected to be smaller than past generations of the handset.

You can watch the live stream of the event directly below. It starts at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT. We’ll have plenty of coverage surrounding today’s announcements so stay tuned.
