iOS 11 Developer Beta 7 Now Available

Apple has begun rolling out the seventh developer beta of iOS 11 for testing on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This comes a week after the sixth build of the future OS upgrade was beginning to roll out to the same party.

To install the new build, head over to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 11 Developer beta 7 listing and you’ll be good to go. I recommend jumping on a Wi-Fi network first alongside plugging in your device beforehand as a) you don’t want data overcharges on your bill and b) you don’t want your phone or tablet to die during the installation process.

iOS 11 packs a revamped Control Center, redesigned notifications, improvements to Siri including an all-new voice, Do Not Disturb While Driving, and an all-new interface for the iPad with better productivity features, a macOS-style Dock, and a new multitasking view. There’s even an official Files app for all iOS devices that lets you access files stored on your device without having to hunt down a third-party service to do so.

We’ll update this article with any changes we find in the latest build.
