BlackBerry originally launched their KeyOne smartphone back in May here in the U.S. for the price of $549.99. It was previously confirmed that the handset would eventually reach Sprint, and now that day has come as the carrier has announced the availability of the last BlackBerry smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard.
The device is available for $22/month for 18 months, or $396 which is a considerable discount when compared to buying the phone unlocked from BlackBerry. It’s available now from Sprint’s online store and will launch at carrier locations across the country later this month.
It’s worth noting that in Sprint’s press release, Steve Cistulli, TCL’s president and general manager here in North America, states Sprint is “among the first U.S. carriers” to offer the KeyOne. This indicates the phone will eventually make its way to other carriers in the future. So even if you don’t wanna buy the device from Sprint or wanna get the discount you don’t get by buying through BlackBerry, all hope may not be lost just yet.
The BlackBerry KeyOne features a 4.5-inch 1620×1080 display, a Snapdragon 625 processor, a 12MP camera, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor, a 3,505mAh battery, and, of course, a physical QWERTY keyboard.
