In a new tweet sent by the company, HTC will be updating their U11 flagship with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant in three days, July 17th. The feature will be activatable by squeezing the sides of the phone, or in other words, by using Edge Sense.

You’ll also be able to activate the feature by saying, “Alexa,” whether the U11 is awake or sleeping. This works the same way any standard Amazon Echo would, but I can only imagine it’ll probably drain your phone’s battery if it’s always listening.
An Alexa app should roll out to all U11 smartphone owners starting Monday by ways of either the Play Store or a software update.
