Following today’s release of the third beta of iOS 11, Apple today seeded developers with the third build of macOS High Sierra for beta testing on the Mac. This comes quite a while after the first public beta went live, and even longer after the second developer beta made headlines.
If your Mac is registered to receive preview builds, head over to the “Updates” tab in the App Store and check for updates. There, you’ll find the new build ready to install. Just click the “Update” button next to the macOS High Sierra 10.13 Beta 3 listing and restart your Mac. The process may take a little while, so be patient and don’t turn off your Mac manually if you don’t have to.
macOS High Sierra includes the Apple File System to make using your Mac faster, Metal 2 with native VR support, updates to Siri including all-new voices, autoplay blocking in Safari, and support for external GPUs you may wanna hook up for heavy workloads or intense games.
We’ll update this article with any important changes made to the OS since its last beta.
