Last year, Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition retro console which shipped with 30 built-in games and became a pretty big smash hit. That is, until Nintendo gave it the ax earlier this year. But never fear, as the company has resurrected another old console with 21 games: the Super NES.
Called the SNES Classic, the retro console outfitted in a smaller build for 2017 comes pre-loaded with 21 different games, including an unreleased sequel to Star Fox. You’ll also find titles like Super Mario World, Mega Man X, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Donkey Kong Country as well. A complete list of games can be found below.

“While many people from around the world consider the Super NES to be one of the greatest video game systems ever made, many of our younger fans never had a chance to play it,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With the Super NES Classic Edition, new fans will be introduced to some of the best Nintendo games of all time, while longtime fans can relive some of their favorite retro classics with family and friends.”
For connecting to your television, there’s an HDMI port on the back of the SNES Classic, while a USB charging cable with AC adapter and two wired SNES Classic Controllers ship in the box. For those of you interested in buying this classic console, it’ll go on sale on September 29th for just $79.99. Just something else to add to your collection of Nintendo systems, I guess.
