Google Now Integration in Nova Launcher Now Works on Android Lollipop

Those of you who are still running Android Lollipop on your device and tend to use Nova Launcher are in for a little surprise today. Last week, the developers behind the launcher introduced a new feature which allowed for the Google Now pane to integrate directly into the launcher without any sort of device hacking or rooting, therefore allowing the launcher to resemble Google’s stock launchers on their own devices. While the feature was initially introduced as compatible with Marshmallow and Nougat, an update carrying version number 1.1 brings support for Android 5.0 and 5.1.

By installing the latest APK on your Lollipop device and pairing it with the latest beta version of Nova Launcher, you’ll be able to access the Google Now pane via a swipe right to your main home screen. There are also various bug fixes for current users of the function, but support for Android 5.0 and 5.1 is obviously far more significant.

You can download the APK from APKMirror here.
