If you like to pay for stuff annually, I have some great news for you. Apple today introduced a new $99/year subscription tier for their music streaming service Apple Music. The option is now appearing for current subscribers under the Subscriptions section of users’ Apple IDs.
By paying $99 per year for Apple Music, you’ll save $20 over paying $9.99 per month for the service. It’s unclear whether Apple will offer a similar option for families to save a little dough, but if anyone from Apple is reading this, I certainly would appreciate that.
Right now, it appears that this change is present for those in the U.S. and Canada. Apple will likely expand over time. Before, you had to go out and pay $99 for a gift card that gave you 12 months of Apple Music. Now, you can just opt in to pay that fee annually without the need for any physical cards.
Well, not including your actual credit card, that is.
