Apple Releases First Episode of Planet of the Apps to Apple Music Subscribers

Apple has released the premiere episode of their new series Planet of the Apps exclusively to Apple Music subscribers. The series follows app developers as they compete on a show much like The Voice to gain mentorship from four “advisors” who are the equivalent of sharks on Shark Tank and hopefully impress a major media brand similar to how you’d introduce yourself to The Bachelor or Bachelorette in order to score $10 million to further develop their project. The company debuted the show last night during WWDC 2017 before releasing the premiere to all at midnight.

While this may be Apple’s first major television series to land on their Apple Music platform, ti’s not exactly the one you’ll want to pay attention to. Rather, the spinoff to The Late Late Show with Jame Cordon’s skit Carpool Karaoke, debuting this August, should provide a much more interesting viewing experience. But while on the subject of Planet of the Apps, it’ll be interesting to see how well this show will be received by the public. New episodes will air every Tuesday for nine more weeks, so you definitely have a lot more streaming to do.
