Microsoft has released a new audio driver for the Surface Studio that will allow owners to wake their PC with the “Hey Cortana” keyword. In other words, you can now shout across the room to wake up your giant computer.
Mind you, this feature has been around for quite some time to an extent. IN order for “Hey Cortana” to wake up your computer in the past, you were required to be in a light sleep state which, obviously, isn’t used that widely. But now, regardless of which state your Surface Studio’s in, you can now yell at it to wake back up.
And you can do it in three more markets where the Studio is launching today: Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
