HTC’s U Ultra is kind of a flop. It isn’t favored by a number of reviewers, it hasn’t been marketed properly, and its hefty price tag of $749 definitely doesn’t help. So what does HTC do about it? Simple: they lower the price by $150 to $599 for a limited time.
Mind you, this Easter sale comes a month after the phone initially launched, so you can tell just by this fact that the U Ultra isn’t the hottest handset on the market today. Nevertheless, at $599, the device looks a bit more pleasable. But unless you absolutely need an ultra-glossy smartphone, it doesn’t mean you should buy it.
In other news, HTC’s One A9 is also getting a discount, but this one’s pretty hefty. The company has discounted the handset by as much as $300, bringing the cost down to just $199. The HTC 10 is also for sale at $499 (down $200 from $699), while the HTC Bolt is also being discounted from $600 down to $450.
