Samsung’s Galaxy S8+ is Getting 6GB of RAM But Only in South Korea

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ were announced with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as the only configurations available. However, as it turns out, there’s a second tier that’ll become available which doubles the S8+’s storage to 128GB and increases the RAM to 6GB. Unfortunately, it’s exclusive to South Korea so a majority of people who want an S8+ won’t be able to get the upgraded model.

But when you learn the price, you may not want it. ETNews reports the upgraded S8+ will cost $1,020 and come bundled with a DeX dock. Samsung’s site confirms the bundle is legit, but this is nevertheless a lot of money just for a phone. I dunno, I always found 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM plenty to work with (especially when paired with the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor), so unless you know you’re gonna have dozens and dozens of apps open at once and need to store hundreds on your phone, you’re probably better off with the configuration that’ll be more widely available.
