Motorola’s Moto Z Sequel is Called ‘Moto Z2’ Because Of Course It Is

Motorola’s Moto Z was one of my favorite phones last year. Now that 2017 has come around, it’s time for the company to introduce the device’s sequel. But what will it be called? The Moto Z2, of course.

Okay, let’s back up here a bit. A leaked photo by Evan Blass suggests that the next Moto Z device will be ‘Moto Z2.’ Why? Because of course it will be.

I couldn’t imagine the sequel to a phone not involving the number 2, so Motorola’s naming scheme here is pretty predictable. But hey, at least we know it’s coming.

We expect the Z2 to feature a Snapdragon 835 processor, probably the same 5.5-inch QHD display on the first Z, Android Nougat, and a similar modular design for compatibility with Moto Mods.
