AT&T’s Unlimited Plus Plan Now Includes Free HBO

AT&T has announced that as a part of their $90/month Unlimited Plus cellphone plan, customers can gain free access to HBO. The content outlet will be streamable for free via DirecTV Now or HBO Go in high-definition. The only catch is you’ll have to watch your 22GB data limit as afterward, your connection will be deprioritized and slower connectivity speeds may occur.

For customers who already have DirecTV, DirecTV Now, or U-verse, you’ll get HBO for free as well through AT&T’s Unlimited Plus plan. If you’re already subscribed to HBO and have been paying for it, you’ll simply have it for free from now on. Mind you, this new perk may be the result of AT&T’s current efforts to acquire Time Warner, the parent company of HBO. We’ll likely see more from these companies in the future working together, so stay tuned.
