Good news for those of you anxiously waiting for Microsoft’s next major update to Windows: the company today has confirmed that the Windows 10 Creators Update will begin rolling out to everyone starting April 11th, the next Patch Tuesday. It’ll arrive as build 15063 which is already available for Fast and Slow ring users.
You won’t be seeing Windows Mixed Reality or the infamous People bar in this update, unfortunately, but Microsoft will be including the following in the Windows 10 Creators Update:
- Gaming mode for better gaming performance
- Beam streaming app for Windows 10 Xbox app for streaming gameplay
- Night light which filters out blue light and doesn’t strain your eyes as much
- All-new Paint 3D app and 3D tools for working with three-dimensional renders
- 360-degree video support in Movies and TV app
- New Ebook section in Windows Store for reading inside Edge
- Improvements to Edge like better tab management and tab previews
- Picture-in-picture support for movies, videos, and Skype calls
- Folders in Start menu
- Auto-lock when carrying a paired iPhone, Android, or Windows phone away from your PC
There’s obviously more within this update like new iconography in certain places, so if you wanna learn more, click here. We expect even more significant updates to come by the end of the year with Redstone 3, the next major update to Windows 10 which will likely be previewed at Build 2017 in May.
