Microsoft Rolls Out Lockscreen Functionality for Cortana on Android

Microsoft recently introduced new lockscreen functionality for Cortana on Android, but the company is just now rolling it out to everyone. By turning the feature on, Microsoft will place a Cortana shortcut on the bottom of your lockscreen which can bring up the assistant and a feed of information via either a swipe left or right. MS has also introduced a number of improvements to the main Cortana home page which you can learn more about below.

We’ve also made updates to the Cortana home on Android, giving you glanceable information about what’s upcoming in your day like your schedule, commute times as well as upcoming reminders and the ability to quickly add reminders and new calendar items to your day. Your lists are also easier to access so you can view, edit and add items quickly.

In addition, Cortana on Android and iOS is now available for use in Austrailia.

The updates are now rolling out to all users of Microsoft’s Cortana mobile apps.
