Back in announced, Microsoft unveiled their Slack competitor for businesses to get work done, Teams. It comes bundled with Office 365 and includes a chat interface for co-workers to communicate, exchange files, and be more productive with integrations from Twitter, Skype, and more. It’s so popular that over 30,000 organizations already use it, despite the platform remaining in Preview.
Now, the company has announced that Microsoft Teams will launch in full on March 14th. The news comes via a blog post which also announces an event Microsoft will hold on the same day to detail exactly what Teams has to offer.
On Tuesday, March 14 at 8:30 a.m. PT, we will celebrate the global availability of Microsoft Teams—the chat-based workspace in Office 365. Please join us for an online event to mark the occasion. Microsoft Corporate Vice President Kirk Koenigsbauer and a special guest will share perspectives on teamwork, what’s new in Microsoft Teams, and talk about how customers are using Office 365 to collaborate and deliver great results.
The event will kick off at 8AM PT/11AM ET, with interested parties able to register by clicking here. Of course, we’ll bring you the latest from the event, so stay tuned.
