Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 has to impress people and be safely stable, opposed to last year’s Note 7 which literally blew up in people’s faces. We already have high hopes for the handset as we’re giving Samsung another chance, and it looks like the company is also banking on their next phablet as a report from SamMobile suggests the Note 8’s codename is ‘Great.’
According to our sources, the Galaxy Note 8 is codenamed Great. You read that right. Great, and not Baikal as had been previously rumored. If that’s not a big sign that Samsung is doing all it can to make the Galaxy Note 8 special, we’re not sure what would be.
So really, Samsung must have something pretty big in store for the Note 8. But what could that be? It remains unknown for the time being.
For reference, SamMobile says the Note 8’s model number is SM-N950F.
In addition, the report suggests Samsung is readying a refurbished model of the Galaxy Note 7 soon to go on sale possibly in South Korea. Its model number is SM-N935 and will supposedly use recycled parts from other Note 7s. It’s unclear whether this is true or not, so take this information with a grain of salt.
Are you excited for the ‘Great’ Galaxy Note 8?
