If you have a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you might wanna check the System Updates section in Settings: word has surfaced via SamMobile that Samsung is currently rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat to both devices via an OTA update. The package weighs a relatively light 215MB and further cleans up Samsung’s UI, adds features like App Shortcuts and multi-wind0w mode, and grants users greater battery life thanks to Doze on the Go.
Oddly enough, the update doesn’t include January’s security patch, however users should see the patch arrive in a second update at some point. Previous beta testers of Nougat for the S7 lineup will be getting the official upgrade first, while the rest of the world will have to wait a little bit.
Now the question rises: when will the Note 7 get Nougat?
