Xiaomi announced their new Mi TV 4 today at CES 2017, a high-end set composed of soundbar speakers and a 4.9mm thick display that has almost no bezel. However, this is no ordinary display for watching Netflix…
All of the components needed for the TV are in the soundbar, not in the display itself, making this a sort of modular system. The TV also has an AI system built in which is part of the “ Patch Wall Software” from Xiaomi. It can predict and recommend content based on what you’ve watched already on the TV.
Regarding sound, included are a soundbar that has 10 speakers, a subwoofer, two wireless speakers and support for Dolby Atmos surround sound. The TV will be available in three sizes: 65-inch, 59-inch, and 49-inch. The largest one will be priced “well under $2000”. However, it will not yet be available in any country other than China.
