Dell’s $5000 Monitor Has an 8K Resolution and a Massive Size

There’s always a lot that goes on during CES 2017, but one thing is for sure: everything is taken to the extreme. And Dell’s latest monitor is no exception.

It’s called the UP3218K, and it features a massive 32-inch display with an 8K (7680 x 4320) resolution. According to the company, the monitor uses Dell’s PremierColor technology to display over 1 billion different colors alongside 100% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB. And in terms of it’s design, you’ve got extremely minimal bezels along the top, bottom, left, and right, while the standard swivel/height/tilt/pivot adjustments are also included plus two DisplayPort 1.4 ports.

It’s worth noting that Dell is touting the 8K monitor as a tool for photographers, graphic designers, video editors – basically anyone who needs extra detail to perfect their work and are willing to pay the premium price of $4,999.

The UP3218K will go on sale March 23rd. Get those graphics cards ready.
