Following the releases of both the sixth beta of iOS 10.2 and the fifth beta of macOS Sierra 10.12.2, Apple today has begun seeding registered developers with the fifth build of watchOS 3.1.1, a future software upgrade for the Apple Watch that’s expected to roll out some time this month. This comes a week after the fourth beta became available.
watchOS 3.1.1 is a pretty empty update for the Apple Watch as it only offers simple bug fixes, security enhancements, and stability improvements. Of course, if you happen to spot something worth noting in any of the betas, feel free to reach out to us via mbedded@icloud.com or @MBEDDEDMaximum on Twitter.
To install the fifth beta of watchOS 3.1.1 on your Apple Watch, navigate to the Watch app on your paired iPhone and tap the “My Watch” tab. From there, go to General > Software Update and you should see the updated build ready for download. Be sure to place your iPhone on Wi-Fi while downloading this software as it’ll surely gobble up plenty of your data.
