You Can Now Get the ZTE ZMax Pro at T-Mobile for $179

Back in July, ZTE unveiled what some may call the ultimate budget smartphone called the ZMax Pro. For just $99, you could get the handset that comes with a 1080p 6-inch display, Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint scanner, a 13MP rear camera, Android Marshmallow, and a 3400mAh battery. You may think I’m lying about that $99 price, but I’m most certainly not.

However, the hype around this handset quickly dissipated a bit when it was made known the ZMax Pro was exclusive to MetroPCS, a carrier not as common as someone like AT&T or Verizon. It was questioned as to whether the phone would ever move to another network, but now it seems the answer to that question is yes. Over on T-Mobile’s website, you can now buy the ZMax Pro under a plan on the carrier’s network.

In the screenshot above, you may notice that the price on T-Mobile for the ZMax Pro is $179. This is $80 more than the previously advertised price on MetroPCS, however it’s worth noting that in order to get the phone for $99, MetroPCS included an $80 rebate. Otherwise, they would’ve sold the handset for the same price as T-Mobile. In other words, don’t think T-Mobile is charging more just because since they’re playing fair in this department.

In addition, you can also get the ZMax Pro for $7.50/month on T-Mobile’s network to make paying for the smartphone a bit easier. So far, it looks like no perks are included with your purchase, but at this price point you shouldn’t expect much, right?
