Rounding off today’s software launches from Apple (iOS 10.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.1, watchOS 3.1) is the official roll out of tvOS 10.0.1. This update is available on the fourth generation Apple TV and follows a beta process consisting of three builds, with the most recent arriving under a week ago.
As it turns out, tvOS 10.0.1 only brings some under the hood improvements with it and not single sign on (the ability to sign into your cable provider once and be logged in on all supported apps). We’ll have to wait for a future release of tvOS to bring that feature, but in the mean time if something we didn’t note here is discovered in tvOS 10.0.1, let us know via mbedded@icloud.com.
To install tvOS 10.0.1, head over to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software on your Apple TV fourth generation and download the new software.
