Back in May, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab A 10.1″ as a tablet with some pretty decent specs at a not-too-crazy price. However, the device was released in a list of markets that didn’t include the US. This all changes today as the company via a press release announced the launch of the tablet here in the States, and there’s even an addition that comes with it you won’t find anywhere else…
Getting the specs out of the way, this variant of Samsung’s ever-growing Galaxy Tab lineup features a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 TFT LCD display, an Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 8MP and 2MP rear and front cameras, a 7300mAh battery, and Android Marshmallow. These internals are also found on the other Tab A 10.1″ found around the globe, however what makes the US version special is the fact that Samsung included a S Pen. With this extra hardware, creating GIFs, drawing, taking screenshots, and more are all possible on this tablet. In other words, you can do everything you could with the Galaxy Note 7‘s new stylus.
$349.99 is the price of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1″ with S Pen, while October 28th is the official launch date. Select retailers will carry the device, including Samsung’s official online store.
