Xiaomi Unveils Upgraded Mi Max Prime w/ Octa-Core Snapdragon 652, 4GB RAM, 128GB Storage

Xiaomi today unveiled their latest handset called the Mi Max Prime. It’s an upgraded model of their hit flagship the Mi Max which made it’s debut in May. This variant contains upgraded specs that’ll surely grant users a faster experience over the standard Max.

Design wise, the Prime is nearly identical to the Max with some tweaks here and there that probably aren’t noticeable. Regarding the specs, inside the Prime is a 6.44-inch 1080p HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor over the Max’s hexa-core 650, 4GB of RAM over the Max’s 3GB, 128GB of baseline storage over the Max’s somewhat dwarfed 32GB, a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, an absolutely huge 4850mAh battery, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, Bluetooth 4.1, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Overall, this is a pretty worthy upgrade over the standard Max, especially if you were considering the original Max.

The Mi Max Prime will go on sale starting October 17th and can be purchased for just Rs. 19,999 (about $300.71 in USD). All in all, this is a pretty great price for a phone with these specs. Exact territorial availability isn’t known yet, however it’s likely that it’ll remain exclusive to India.
